Streamline Moisture Analysis with the PMB Moisture Analyser

moisture analysers add great value to testing laboratories with intuitive software and programmable features for custom drying tests.Moisture analysis is used for quality control in almost every industry, from manufacturing to chemistry and food production. Moisture analysers like Adam Equipment’s PMB simplify moisture determination and are quicker and easier to use than drying ovens.

Samples can be delicate, so quality testing laboratories have to find the right drying method to desiccate the sample without burning them. Some materials can become volatile when heated, so proper testing methods are essential. The PMB features three programmable drying modes. A single 400-watt halogen bulb heats samples from 50°C to 160°C in 1 °C selectable increments to efficiently dry any sample.

It’s essential to maintain the right amount of moisture levels. For construction, moisture can impact soil’s ability to support a structure, including strength and cohesiveness. Solid components like plastics or rubber become brittle if they have too little moisture, which could cause catastrophic failures in moving parts or engines. In food production, moisture can affect the shelf life, the taste and consistency of the product, while for cosmetics or pharmaceutical products, the amount of moisture can determine component formulation, their potency, and their application method.

Connect PMB moisture analysers to computers via the USB or RS-232 interface to monitor and record testing results. Users can store up to 49 recipes and 99 test results in the PMB’s internal memory. For laboratories who routinely test the same products, the PMB can store seven preset drying modes.

Sturdy and easy to use, PMB moisture analysers add great value to testing laboratories with intuitive software and programmable features for custom drying tests.
